Just dropped in to let you know I’m working on getting the next video out to you real soon. My new Mac computer decided to spit the dummy and I’ve been "computerless" for about a week… it had a dose of "the black screen of death". It’s all better now (cards and chocolates welcome) and I’m trying to get some time in my busy schedule to make another video for you (didn’t know life on a tropical island was meant to be so busy).

The next video will be about the importance of feedback if you want to beat the geeks so hang in there. Should have it done in a few days.

It’s a free online tool that you can use to create your own tests which ties in really well with the video I made for you about the “Question / Answer Reflex”.  I had a bit of a play with it and it looks like it could be useful for training your own Q&A reflexes. It’ll train you in skills that are 100% relevant to those you’ll need for the exams (just like I said in the video about training to be really good in your favorite sport).

Anyway… check it out and if you think it’s a good study tool let me know here on the blog and I’ll make a video about it. This is another technique you can use to stay focused on studying in a way that will directly help you with your study skills. As I’ve been telling you from the start of these videos, most students waste their time studying in a way that has nothing to do with performing well in the exams (those students can go and practice their highlighting skills!).

Seems like lots of students are really sick of all the rehashed ineffective study tips that are floating around at the moment and are looking for something that really works.

Well the good news is I really believe I can deliver on my promise to make a positive change to your exam results so stay with me guys.

Just a quick summary of the intro video…

What I was really trying to get across to you in the video is that being good at exams is a lot like learning how to play your favorite sport. You have to use the skills required to perform at the highest possible level.

Studying for exams is exactly the same. Stop focusing on rewriting text books, highlighting everything (some students end up highlighting more information compared with what they don’t highlight), and doing all the things that won’t improve your performance in the exams.

So what do you do? Well I’m going to explain lots more to you in the coming videos which I’m working on right now so make sure you’re all signed up so I can send them to you.
